Our History
The Theater Lovers came together in 2012 as an idea formed by our founder Megan Gutierrez. Tired of seeing theater alone she figured there must be others out there like her.
Fast forward to today - we are now a vibrant and active community. From monthly local events in Utah to travel around the world - we've created a community of our own and everyone is invited to join us.
What People Are Saying
Going on Theatre adventures with Megan and the Theater Lovers is one of my favorite things to do. All events, whether they are local day trips or longer travel trips are well organized, safe, and fun. I love having other theater geeks to talk with about my favorite hobby. And, of course, knowing I'll have friends to attend shows with makes me very happy. Attending shows alone is not nearly as fun.
I joined the Utah Theater Lovers to see more theater but ended up making amazing friends through the local events and travel. I love having people to nerd out with and talk about shows we loved (or didn't love).
Theater Lovers also does a great job of providing lots of options to participate in as a group with some windows where, if we are so inclined, we can strike out to do something on our own as well. As always, this group feels very inclusive and I believe that everyone who chooses to join us feels welcome and included.
I'm a full on introvert, I went on my first trip not knowing anyone and met most of my favorite people in the world! I always look forward to the trips mostly because I know they'll be full of awesome people! And of course because Megan Gutierrez and Corina Johnson (All Points Travel) put on incredible experiences! I cannot wait for March!!!
